About Handyman Norfolk
Handyman Norfolk is a small, local handyman business serving homeowners, landlords and property managers across Norfolk. We are built on careful workmanship, fair prices, and a genuine interest in fixing the small problems that big firms cannot be bothered with.
Our Story
Handyman Norfolk was founded with a simple idea: most homes need lots of small jobs done, and most tradesmen would rather not do them. Big jobs are easier to plan, easier to price and feel more rewarding to finish. The result is that thousands of Norfolk households are stuck with snagging lists that never get done — a wonky cupboard door, a dripping tap, a fence panel that has been propped up against the post for two winters now. We set out to be the people who would happily come and sort all of those out.
The Trades We Cover
We are a multi-trade service, which means we have skills across plumbing, electrical work, carpentry and joinery, painting and decorating, roofing and guttering, fencing and gardening, brickwork and rendering, tiling and silicone work, kitchen and bathroom fitting, flat-pack assembly, jet washing and home security. For specialist work that needs a particular qualification (Gas Safe boiler servicing, large electrical installations notifiable under Part P, structural work) we work alongside the appropriate specialists, and we manage the whole project for you so you only deal with one person.
How We Work
Every job starts with a free, no-obligation quote. For smaller jobs we are happy to give a price from photographs and a description over email. For larger jobs we will arrange a free site visit at a time that suits you. We then agree the price in writing before any work starts, so there are never any nasty surprises on the invoice. We turn up when we say we will, we work tidily, and we always clean up at the end of each day. Where a job runs over multiple days we leave the site safe and presentable each evening so your home stays liveable.
Insurance and Guarantees
Every job we do is covered by full public liability insurance. We are happy to send a copy of our insurance certificate before starting work if you would like to see it. Our work is guaranteed — if anything we have fitted develops a fault that is down to our workmanship, we will come back and put it right at no charge.
Honest, Local Pricing
Norfolk has seen a real shortage of trusted local tradesmen in recent years, and that has pushed prices up sharply. We have deliberately stayed at fair, sustainable rates that reflect honest local pricing rather than the inflated quotes you sometimes see from larger firms. We do not charge call-out fees for quotes, we do not have minimum hire periods, and we do not pad invoices with extras you did not agree to. You pay for the work that is done, at the price that was quoted, and that is it.
